University Liggett Knights (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Cabrini Monarchs (Allen Park, MI), 64-22 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, University Liggett upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Knights host Shrine Catholic (Royal Oak, MI) to play the Knights in a Catholic Intersectional I bout on Thursday, March 4. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 3-6. Shrine Catholic lost 44-41 in their recent non-league bout against Cardinal Mooney Catholic (Marine City, MI)

Next up, the Monarchs play the Austin Catholic Crusaders (Chesterfield, MI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, March 4. Cabrini will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Crusaders come into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 45-37 non-league loss to Merritt Academy (New Haven, MI).
