Vicksburg Gators (Vicksburg, MS) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team rout the host Canton Tigers (Canton, MS), 45-0 in a league test.

With the win, Vicksburg improves its record to 1-2 on the season. The Gators host Forest Hill (Jackson, MS) to confront the Patriots in a 5A Region 2 test on Friday, September 17. The Patriots go into the test with a record of 0-3. Forest Hill lost 45-14 in their recent league test against Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS)

With the loss, Canton moves to 0-3 on the season. The Tigers travel to Callaway (Jackson, MS) to confront the Chargers in a 5A Region 2 test on Friday, September 17. The Chargers go into the test with a record of 2-1. Callaway won 14-12 in their recent league test against Provine (Jackson, MS)
