Kansas High School Basketball - Dighton tops Wichita County

Dighton Hornets (Dighton, KS) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Wichita County Indians (Leoti, KS), 48-33 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Dighton upgrades its record to 9-9 on the campaign. The Hornets host Western Plains (Ransom, KS) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Friday, February 11. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 3-5. Western Plains lost 54-26 in their recent non-league bout against Quinter (Quinter, KS)

Next up, the Indians play the Sublette Larks (Sublette, KS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 11. Wichita County will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Larks come into the bout with a 2-14 record after their 41-38 non-league loss to Southwestern Heights (Kismet, KS).
