In Friday's league match, the host Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons football squad scored a close 12-6 victory over the Hudson Pirates.

In their next game, the Falcons clash with the Dike-New Hartford Wolverines (Dike, IA) in a 1A District 3 outing, on Friday, September 18. Aplington-Parkersburg will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Wolverines go into the outing with a 1-2 record after their 20-0 league loss to South Hamilton (Jewell, IA).
