Arkansas High School Basketball - Junction City overwhelms Lafayette County
January 22, 2019: Junction City, AR 71749 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Junction City Dragons (Junction City, AR) and the visiting Lafayette County Cougars (Stamps, AR), saw Junction City's basketball squad wallop Lafayette County by a tally of 61-25.
With the victory, Junction City improves its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Parkers Chapel (El Dorado, AR) to confront the Trojans in a 2A Region 8 challenge on Thursday, January 24. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 9-12. Parkers Chapel lost 48-43 in their recent league challenge against Fordyce (Fordyce, AR)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Harmony Grove Hornets (Camden, AR) in a 2A Region 8 challenge, on Friday, January 25. Lafayette County will attempt to improve on its 5-10 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 14-6 record after their 39-34 league loss to Hampton (Hampton, AR).
