Kansas High School Basketball - Oakley fells Hoxie
January 29, 2019: Oakley, KS 67748 Oakley Plainsmen (Oakley, KS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Hoxie Indians (Hoxie, KS), 42-33 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Oakley upgrades its record to 6-8 on the season. The Plainsmen host Plainville (Plainville, KS) to clash with the Cardinals in a Mid-Continent bout on Friday, February 1. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 7-7. Plainville lost 42-36 in their recent league bout against Trego (WaKeeney, KS)
Next up, the Indians clash with the St. Francis Indians (St. Francis, KS) in a Northwest Kansas bout, on Friday, February 1. Hoxie will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 52-35 non-league loss to Holyoke (Holyoke, CO).
