The La Vega Pirates (Waco, TX) football routed the visiting Decatur Eagles (Decatur, TX), 53-0 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Pirates face the Liberty Hill Panthers (Liberty Hill, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 21. La Vega will attempt to advance on its 13-2 season record. The Panthers enter the bout with a 13-1 record after their 44-41 non-league win over Carthage (Carthage, TX).
