The Glenvar Highlanders thwarted the visiting James River Knights football team by a count of 13-2 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Glenvar upgrades its record to 6-0 on the season. The Highlanders host Alleghany (Covington, VA) to encounter the Mountaineers in a Three Rivers outing on Friday, October 5. The Mountaineers go into the outing with a record of 0-5. Alleghany lost 14-0 in their recent non-league outing against Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV)

With the loss, James River moves to 4-1 on the season. The Knights travel to Giles (Pearisburg, VA) to encounter the Spartans in a Three Rivers outing on Friday, October 5. The Spartans go into the outing with a record of 3-3. Giles lost 38-0 in their recent league outing against Radford (Radford, VA)
