Notre Dame Catholic Lancers (Fairfield, CT) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting New London Whalers (New London, CT), 63-56 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Notre Dame Catholic upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to New Fairfield (New Fairfield, CT) to play the Rebels in a Southwest - Patriot bout on Monday, January 6. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 3-2.

Next up, the Whalers play the Fitch Falcons (Groton, CT) in a Eastern Connecticut - 2 bout, on Thursday, January 2. New London will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 34-20 non-league win over St. Bernard (Uncasville, CT).
