Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Sedgwick County Cougars (Julesburg, CO) and the visiting Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE), saw Sedgwick County's basketball squad knock off Perkins County by a count of 50-31.

With the victory, Sedgwick County upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Merino (Merino, CO) to play the Rams in a 1A District 4 match on Friday, January 31. The Rams enter the match with a record of 9-1. Merino won 55-39 in their recent non-league match against Dayspring Christian Academy (Greeley, CO)

With the defeat, Perkins County moves to 4-14 on the year. The Plainsmen travel to Maxwell (Maxwell, NE) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 4. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 10-7. Maxwell won 55-44 in their recent non-league match against Hitchcock County (Trenton, NE)
