In Thursday's non-league outing, the Higley Knights (Gilbert, AZ) basketball squad beat the host Washington Rams (Phoenix, AZ), by a count of 59-50.

The Knights (12-2) will now prepare for their outing against Gilbert (Gilbert, AZ). The Tigers go into the 5A San Tan outing with a 16-2 record. In their last outing, Gilbert defeated Millennium (Goodyear, AZ), 62-61, in a non-league outing.
