The Half Moon Bay Cougars held off the visiting Carlmont Scots basketball team by a tally of 48-46 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Cougars now possess a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pioneer for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 26. Half Moon Bay will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 59-53 non-league loss to Los Gatos (Los Gatos, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-4.

The Scots (4-3) will now prepare for their battle against Fremont (Oakland, CA). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 0-9 record. In their last battle, Fremont was nudged by Kennedy (Richmond, CA), 70-15, in a non-league battle.
