January 7, 2020: Belden, MS 38826 The Tupelo Christian Prep Eagles (Belden, MS) basketball nipped the visiting South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS), 59-56 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Eagles (8-9) will now prepare for their test against Vardaman (Vardaman, MS). The Rams go into the non-league test with a 0-12 record. In their last test, Vardaman was tipped by Coffeeville (Coffeeville, MS), 73-41, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 5-14 record. They play next when they travel to Shannon for a 4A Region 2 test on Tuesday, January 14. South Pontotoc will encounter a Red Raiders squad coming off a 64-44 league loss to Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS). The Red Raiders record now stands at 6-6.
