Maryland High School Basketball - Stone nips Westlake
January 29, 2020: Waldorf, MD 20603 Stone Cougars (Waldorf, MD) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Westlake Wolverines (Waldorf, MD), 62-58 in a league bout.
In their next game, the Cougars meet the North Point Eagles (Waldorf, MD) in a Southern Maryland match, on Friday, January 31. Stone will attempt to move on its 12-4 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 9-7 record after their 78-60 league loss to St. Charles (Waldorf, MD).
With the defeat, Westlake moves to 10-6 on the year. The Wolverines host Lackey (Indian Head, MD) to meet the Chargers in a Southern Maryland match on Friday, January 31. The Chargers enter the match with a record of 7-8. Lackey won 63-52 in their recent league match against McDonough (Pomfret, MD)
