Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Model Blue Devils (Rome, GA) and the visiting Coosa Eagles (Rome, GA), saw Model's basketball squad hold off Coosa by a count of 60-58.

In their next game, the Blue Devils face the Rockmart Yellowjackets (Rockmart, GA) in a AA Region 7 match, on Friday, January 24. Model will attempt to move on its 15-5 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the match with a 12-8 record after their 70-58 league win over Pepperell (Lindale, GA).

With the defeat, Coosa moves to 11-8 on the year. The Eagles host Chattooga (Summerville, GA) to play the Indians in a AA Region 7 bout on Friday, January 24. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 17-5. Chattooga won 67-36 in their recent league bout against Gordon Central (Calhoun, GA)
