In Friday's league match, the host Meridian Trojans basketball team scored a good 71-53 triumph over the Mt. Baker Mountaineers.

In their next game, the Trojans meet the Lynden Lions (Lynden, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest match, on Saturday, February 1. Meridian will attempt to better on its 12-5 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 15-1 record after their 74-62 league win over Lynden Christian (Lynden, WA).
