Colorado High School Basketball - Pomona holds off Denver East
January 22, 2020: Arvada, CO 80005 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Pomona Panthers (Arvada, CO) and the visiting Denver East Angels (Denver, CO), saw Pomona's basketball squad hold off Denver East by a tally of 74-72.
With the victory, Pomona improves its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Arvada West (Arvada, CO) to confront the Wildcats in a 5A Jeffco challenge on Friday, January 24. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 4-9. Arvada West lost 62-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Dakota Ridge (Littleton, CO)
Next up, the Angels confront the Denver South Rebels (Denver, CO) in a 5A/4A Denver Prep game, on Friday, January 24. Denver East will attempt to move on its 13-2 season record. The Rebels enter the game with a 5-9 record after their 82-52 league win over Denver West (Denver, CO).
