Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Mercer Cardinals (Mercer, MO) and the host Green City Gophers (Green City, MO), saw Mercer's basketball squad hold off Green City by a tally of 60-55.

With the victory, Mercer improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Princeton (Princeton, MO) to confront the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 13. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Gophers confront the Grundy County Panthers (Galt, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 12. Green City will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record.
