Virginia High School Basketball - Bishop O'Connell crushes Friendship Collegiate Academy
January 17, 2020: Arlington, VA 22213 Bishop O'Connell Knights (Arlington, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Friendship Collegiate Academy Knights (Washington, DC), 73-50 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Bishop O'Connell upgrades its record to 8-11 on the season. The Knights travel to Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA) to meet the Monarchs in a non-league contest on Monday, January 20. The Monarchs enter the contest with a record of 16-4. Mater Dei lost 70-62 in their recent league contest against St. John Bosco (Bellflower, CA)
The Knights (10-7) will now prepare for their contest against Anacostia (Washington, DC). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, Anacostia was routed by Wilson (Washington, DC), 65-32, in a league contest.
