Illinois High School Basketball - Geneva overwhelms Elk Grove
January 5, 2019: Elk Grove Village, IL 60007 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Geneva Vikings (Geneva, IL) and the host Elk Grove Grenadiers (Elk Grove Village, IL), saw Geneva's basketball squad wallop Elk Grove by a tally of 72-50.
With the victory, Geneva improves its record to 15-0 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Lake Park (Roselle, IL) to play the Lancers in a DuKane challenge on Friday, January 11. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 10-5. Lake Park lost 35-34 in their recent league challenge against Wheaton-Warrenville South (Wheaton, IL)
Next up, the Grenadiers play the Fremd Vikings (Palatine, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 8. Elk Grove will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 11-3 record after their 45-41 non-league loss to Geneva (Geneva, IL).
