South Dakota High School Basketball - Hanson crushes Avon
February 12, 2019: Avon, SD 57315 Hanson Beavers (Alexandria, SD) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Avon Pirates (Avon, SD), 85-56 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Hanson upgrades its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Beavers travel to Corsica/Stickney (Corsica, SD) to play the Comets in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 14. The Comets come into the bout with a record of 11-4. Corsica/Stickney won 58-50 in their recent league bout against Tripp-Delmont/Armour (Armour, SD)
Next up, the Pirates play the Burke/South Central Cougars (Bonesteel, SD) in a B Region 6 bout, on Friday, February 22. Avon will attempt to upgrade on its 0-18 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 6-13 record after their 71-63 non-league loss to Wagner (Wagner, SD).
