Alba-Golden Panthers (Alba, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host North Hopkins Panthers (Sulphur Springs, TX), 74-26 in a league bout.

With the win, Alba-Golden upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Panthers host Cooper (Cooper, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 2A Region II District 15 bout on Friday, January 13. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 18-10. Cooper won 61-18 in their recent league bout against Cumby (Cumby, TX)

Next up, the Panthers play the Como-Pickton Eagles (Como, TX) in a 2A Region II District 15 bout, on Friday, January 13. North Hopkins will attempt to upgrade on its 9-13 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 14-5 record after their 49-39 league win over Fruitvale (Fruitvale, TX).
