California High School Basketball - Pinole Valley edges De Anza

The Pinole Valley Spartans (Pinole, CA) basketball nipped the visiting De Anza Dons (El Sobrante, CA), 2-0 in Tuesday's league test.
The Spartans (11-5) will now prepare for their test against Swett (Crockett, CA). The Warriors go into the Tri-County - Rock test with a 9-6 record. In their last test, Swett got by Vallejo (Vallejo, CA), 58-20, in a non-league test.
The Dons now own a 1-14 record. They play next when they host Saint Mary's for a Tri-County - Rock test on Friday, January 13. De Anza will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 74-40 league loss to Salesian College Preparatory (Richmond, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 6-9.
