Virginia High School Basketball - George Washington fells Patrick County

George Washington Eagles (Danville, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA), 55-44 in a league bout.
With the win, George Washington upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Eagles travel to Bassett (Bassett, VA) to play the Bengals in a Piedmont bout on Friday, January 13. The Bengals go into the bout with a record of 4-8. Bassett lost 49-44 in their recent league bout against Halifax County (South Boston, VA)
Next up, the Cougars play the Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 12. Patrick County will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Buffaloes go into the bout with a 9-3 record after their 61-20 league win over Radford (Radford, VA).
