Hardin-Jefferson Hawks (Sour Lake, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns (Hamshire, TX), 83-33 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hardin-Jefferson upgrades its record to 19-5 on the campaign. The Hawks host Hargrave (Huffman, TX) to play the Falcons in a 4A Region III District 20 bout on Friday, January 13. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 10-2. Hargrave won 47-37 in their recent league bout against Liberty (Liberty, TX)

Next up, the Longhorns play the Livingston Lions (Livingston, TX) in a 4A Region III District 20 bout, on Friday, January 13. Hamshire-Fannett will attempt to upgrade on its 16-10 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 0-11 record after their 53-29 league loss to Splendora (Splendora, TX).
