In Tuesday's league outing, the Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS) basketball squad overwhelmed the host New Albany Bulldogs (New Albany, MS), by a count of 74-52.
The Warriors (17-1) will now prepare for their outing against Ripley (Ripley, MS). The Tigers go into the 4A Region 2 outing with a 7-6 record. In their last outing, Ripley smashed North Pontotoc (Ecru, MS), 49-47, in a league outing.
The Bulldogs now hold a 8-10 record. They play next when they travel to West Union for a non-league outing on Thursday, January 12. New Albany will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 53-21 league loss to Ingomar (New Albany, MS). The Eagles record now stands at 11-5.
