The Somerville Pioneers basketball team (Somerville, NJ), was overwhelmed 54-29 in Tuesday's league battle with the host The Pingry School Big Blue (Martinsville, NJ)
The Big Blue now possess a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Warren Hills Regional for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 12. The Pingry School will confront a Blue Streaks team coming off a 54-40 non-league win over Bound Brook (Bound Brook, NJ). The Blue Streaks record now stands at 4-4.
The Pioneers (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against Voorhees (Glen Gardner, NJ). The Vikings come into the Skyland - Valley battle with a 6-2 record. In their last battle, Voorhees was overwhelmed by Mount St. Mary Academy (Watchung, NJ), 49-43, in a league battle.
