The Dr. Maya Angelou Community Phoenix basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Los Angeles Romans to 11 in the Phoenix league triumph on Wednesday.
The Phoenix now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jefferson for a Exposition contest on Friday, January 12. Dr. Maya Angelou Community will meet a Democrats team coming off a 60-14 league loss to Santee (Los Angeles, CA). The Democrats record now stands at 2-4.
The Romans (0-7) will now prepare for their contest against West Adams (Los Angeles, CA). The Panthers enter the Exposition contest with a 7-1 record. In their last contest, West Adams triumphed over Manual Arts (Los Angeles, CA), 38-24, in a league contest.
