With the victory, East Wilkes improves its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Alleghany (Sparta, NC) to play the Trojans in a 1A Northwest challenge on Friday, January 12. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 1-11. Alleghany lost 55-25 in their recent league challenge against North Stokes (Danbury, NC)

Next up, the Sauras play the North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC) in a 1A Northwest challenge, on Friday, January 19. South Stokes will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 14-2 record after their 38-36 league win over Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC).
