    The Damascus Hornets (Damascus, MD) basketball were winner over the host Watkins Mill Wolverines (Gaithersburg, MD), 68-57 in Friday's league bout.

    The Hornets now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Poolesville for a Montgomery County - North bout on Saturday, January 11. Damascus will play a Falcons team coming off a 54-42 league win over Magruder (Rockville, MD). The Falcons record now stands at 2-6.

    With the loss, Watkins Mill falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Wheaton (Silver Spring, MD) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 14. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 4-5. Wheaton lost 64-57 in their recent league bout against Blair (Silver Spring, MD)
