The Garner Longhorns basketball team scored 61 points and limited the visiting Throckmorton Greyhounds to 18 in the Longhorns league triumph on Friday.

The Longhorns now possess a 14-7 record. They play next when they travel to Newcastle for a 1A Region III District 17 game on Tuesday, January 14. Garner will play a Bobcats team coming off a 64-50 league loss to Bryson (Bryson, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 4-10.

With the loss, Throckmorton falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to Perrin-Whitt (Perrin, TX) to play the Pirates in a 1A Region III District 17 game on Tuesday, January 14. The Pirates go into the game with a record of 19-5. Perrin-Whitt won 44-35 in their recent league game against Woodson (Woodson, TX)
