The Villa Park Spartans basketball team scored 62 points and limited the host Sonora Raiders to 58 in the Spartans league triumph on Friday.

The Spartans now have a 13-8 record. They play next when they host El Dorado for a Freeway game on Tuesday, January 14. Villa Park will confront a Golden Hawks team coming off a 50-45 league loss to Yorba Linda (Yorba Linda, CA). The Golden Hawks record now stands at 18-4.

With the loss, Sonora falls to 6-13 on the campaign. The Raiders host Valencia (Placentia, CA) to confront the Tigers in a non-league game on Saturday, January 11. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 15-6. Valencia won 87-51 in their recent league game against Buena Park (Buena Park, CA)
