The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Bishop McNamara Mustangs (Forestville, MD) and the host St. John's Cadets (Washington, DC), observed Bishop McNamara's basketball team overwhelm St. John's by a score of 64-43.

The Mustangs (9-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA). The Cardinals come into the VISAA Division I challenge with a 11-1 record.

In their next game, the Cadets encounter the Archbishop Carroll Lions (Washington, DC) in a Washington Catholic challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. St. John's will attempt to improve on its 13-1 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 0-9 record after their 65-14 non-league loss to Elizabeth Seton (Bladensburg, MD).
