The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Forrest County Agricultural Aggies (Brooklyn, MS) and the visiting Lawrence County Cougars (Monticello, MS), observed Forrest County Agricultural's basketball team edge Lawrence County by a score of 48-42.

The Aggies (11-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Purvis (Purvis, MS). The Tornadoes come into the 4A Region 7 challenge with a 6-9 record. In their last challenge, Purvis was tipped by Sumrall (Sumrall, MS), 69-33, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Columbia Wildcats (Columbia, MS) in a 4A Region 7 challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Lawrence County will attempt to improve on its 6-3 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 56-17 non-league win over Poplarville (Poplarville, MS).
