In Wednesday's non-league outing, the John Paul II Catholic Saints (Greenville, NC) basketball squad beat the host Rocky Mount Academy Eagles (Rocky Mount, NC), by a margin of 48-34.
The Saints (9-2) will now prepare for their match against Wayne Country Day (Goldsboro, NC). The Chargers enter the NCISAA Coastal Plain match with a 15-0 record. In their last match, Wayne Country Day overcame Wayne Christian (Goldsboro, NC), 83-49, in a league match.
With the defeat, Rocky Mount Academy moves to 8-4 on the year. The Eagles travel to Arendell Parrott Academy (Kinston, NC) to meet the Patriots in a non-league match on Thursday, January 12. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 11-3. Arendell Parrott Academy won 64-42 in their recent league match against Epiphany (New Bern, NC)
