Iowa High School Basketball - Mason City ripped by Ames

The Ames Little Cyclones basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Mason City Mohawks to 37 in the Little Cyclones non-league triumph on Friday.

The Little Cyclones now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pleasant Valley for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 14. Ames will battle a Spartans team coming off a 61-42 league loss to Muscatine (Muscatine, IA). The Spartans record now stands at 7-4.

The Mohawks (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Hoover (Des Moines, IA). The Huskies enter the Freelance contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, Hoover was routed by Johnston (Johnston, IA), 78-44, in a non-league contest.
