The Ascension Christian basketball team (Gonzales, LA), was overwhelmed 66-29 in Friday's non-league battle with the host St. Charles Catholic Comets (LaPlace, LA)
The Comets now possess a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Catholic of Pointe Coupee for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 17.
The (8-7) will now prepare for their battle against Christ Episcopal School (Covington, LA). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 0-9 record. In their last battle, Christ Episcopal School was overwhelmed by Central Private (Baker, LA), 50-36, in a non-league battle.
