Central Regional Golden Eagles (Bayville, NJ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Barnegat Bengals (Barnegat, NJ), 50-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Central Regional upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Golden Eagles host Point Pleasant Boro (Point Pleasant, NJ) to clash with the Panthers in a Shore C - South bout on Saturday, January 14. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-7. Point Pleasant Boro lost 53-30 in their recent non-league bout against St. Rose (Belmar, NJ)

Next up, the Bengals clash with the Manalapan Braves (Englishtown, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Barnegat will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Braves go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 50-45 non-league loss to Barnegat (Barnegat, NJ).
