Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Dimond Lynx (Anchorage, AK) and the host Lathrop Malemutes (Fairbanks, AK), saw Dimond's basketball squad hold off Lathrop by a tally of 45-39.

With the victory, Dimond improves its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Lynx travel to Chugiak (Chugiak, AK) to play the Mustangs in a 4A Cook Inlet challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 3-3. Chugiak lost 29-24 in their recent league challenge against South Anchorage (Anchorage, AK)

Next up, the Malemutes play the North Pole Patriots (North Pole, AK) in a 4A Mid Alaska challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Lathrop will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record.
