Northgate Vikings (Newnan, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Newnan Cougars (Newnan, GA), 48-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Northgate upgrades its record to 1-3 on the season. The Vikings host Creekside (Fairburn, GA) to clash with the Seminoles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Seminoles go into the bout with a record of 6-4. Creekside won 39-37 in their recent non-league bout against Northgate (Newnan, GA)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Langston Hughes Panthers (Fairburn, GA) in a bout, on Friday, January 19. Newnan will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 52-20 league loss to South Paulding (Douglasville, GA).
