In Monday's non-league game, the Kelso Hilanders (Kelso, WA) basketball team edged the visiting Washougal Panthers (Washougal, WA), by a tally of 55-52.
The Hilanders now possess a 4-10 record. They play next when they travel to Naselle for a non-league game on Thursday, January 16. Kelso will confront a Comets team coming off a 59-55 non-league loss to Wahkiakum (Cathlamet, WA). The Comets record now stands at 8-5.
With the loss, Washougal falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Hockinson (Brush Prairie, WA) to confront the Hawks in a 2A Greater St. Helens game on Wednesday, January 15. The Hawks go into the game with a record of 4-7. Hockinson won 67-64 in their recent non-league game against WF West (Chehalis, WA)
