Laurel Locomotives (Laurel, MT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Billings Central Catholic Rams (Billings, MT), 71-69 in a league bout.

With the victory, Laurel upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Locomotives travel to Hardin (Hardin, MT) to play the Bulldogs in a A Southeast bout on Saturday, January 15. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 3-3. Hardin lost 84-55 in their recent non-league bout against Fergus (Lewistown, MT)

Next up, the Rams play the Dawson Red Devils (Glendive, MT) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 15. Billings Central Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Red Devils come into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 62-51 non-league loss to Wolf Point (Wolf Point, MT).
