The Center Roughriders basketball team (Center, TX), was overwhelmed 65-38 in Friday's league battle with the host Palestine Wildcats (Palestine, TX)

The Wildcats now possess a 25-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hudson for a 4A Region III District 17 battle on Tuesday, January 18. Palestine will battle a Hornets team coming off a 52-37 league win over Rusk (Rusk, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 12-14.

The Roughriders (5-11) will now prepare for their battle against Carthage (Carthage, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 4A Region III District 17 battle with a 5-13 record. In their last battle, Carthage was overwhelmed by Jasper (Jasper, TX), 68-57, in a league battle.
