The Pickford Panthers basketball team scored 40 points and limited the host Manistique Emeralds to 32 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Panthers now possess a 5-5 record. They play next when they host Engadine for a Eastern Upper Peninsula game on Tuesday, January 21. Pickford will confront a Eagles team coming off a 48-35 league loss to Cedarville (Cedarville, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 1-11.

With the loss, Manistique falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Emeralds travel to Ishpeming (Ishpeming, MI) to confront the Hematites in a Mid-Peninsula match on Friday, January 17. The Hematites enter the match with a record of 6-2. Ishpeming won 63-47 in their recent non-league match against West Iron County (Iron River, MI)
