Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Woodstock Blue Streaks (Woodstock, IL), 43-30 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Jefferson upgrades its record to 13-11 on the campaign. The J-Hawks travel to Belvidere (Belvidere, IL) to play the Bucs in a Northern Illinois 10 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Bucs come into the bout with a record of 4-18. Belvidere lost 70-34 in their recent league bout against Harlem (Machesney Park, IL)

Next up, the Blue Streaks play the Marengo Indians (Marengo, IL) in a Kishwaukee River bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Woodstock will attempt to upgrade on its 0-13 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 11-8 record after their 45-34 league win over Johnsburg (Johnsburg, IL).
