New Mexico High School Basketball - Albuquerque Academy knocks off Sandia Prep

In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Albuquerque Academy Chargers basketball team scored a good 63-47 win over the Sandia Prep Sundevils.

The Chargers (13-4) will now prepare for their contest against Belen (Belen, NM). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 7-10 record. In their last contest, Belen was topped by Gallup (Gallup, NM), 81-42, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Sundevils battle the Laguna Acoma Hawks (New Laguna, NM) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 18. Sandia Prep will attempt to better on its 6-8 season record. The Hawks enter the battle with a 8-5 record after their 69-49 non-league win over To'hajiilee (To'hajiilee, NM).
