The Auburn Eagles basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the visiting Bland County Bears to 62 in the Eagles league victory on Tuesday.

The Eagles now sport a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host George Wythe for a Mountain Empire contest on Friday, January 20. Auburn will battle a Maroons team coming off a 89-30 league win over Giles (Pearisburg, VA). The Maroons record now stands at 12-1.

The Bears (11-5) will now prepare for their contest against Galax (Galax, VA). The Maroon Tide come into the Mountain Empire contest with a 1-12 record. In their last contest, Galax was defeated by Auburn (Riner, VA), 74-41, in a league contest.
