Anoka Tornadoes (Anoka, MN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Coon Rapids Cardinals (Coon Rapids, MN), 62-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Anoka upgrades its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Tornadoes host Champlin Park (Champlin, MN) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 19. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 5-5. Champlin Park lost 79-60 in their recent non-league bout against Andover (Andover, MN)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Maple Grove Crimson (Maple Grove, MN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Coon Rapids will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Crimson come into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 75-42 non-league win over Farmington (Farmington, MN).
