Cristo Rey St. Martin Knights (Waukegan, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Beacon Academy Trailblazers (Evanston, IL), 1-0 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cristo Rey St. Martin upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Knights host Lake County Baptist (Waukegan, IL) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Lake County Baptist lost 30-21 in their recent league bout against Marquette Manor Baptist Academy (Downers Grove, IL)

Next up, the Trailblazers play the Lycee Francais de Chicago (Chicago, IL) in a Lakeshore bout, on Wednesday, January 18. Beacon Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record.
