Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA) and the visiting Franklin County Lions (Carnesville, GA), saw Oconee County's basketball squad hold off Franklin County by a tally of 44-39.

With the victory, Oconee County improves its record to 6-11 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Hart County (Hartwell, GA) to play the Bulldogs in a AAA Region 8 challenge on Friday, January 20. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 12-6. Hart County won 66-32 in their recent league challenge against Stephens County (Toccoa, GA)

Next up, the Lions play the Hebron Christian Academy Lions (Dacula, GA) in a AAA Region 8 challenge, on Friday, January 20. Franklin County will attempt to improve on its 6-12 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 16-0 record after their 91-37 league win over Monroe Area (Monroe, GA).
